Metal-Expo Management has published Metal-Expo’2011 visitors’ outlook provided by an independent specialized company. According to the outlook representatives of 61 countries of the total of some 250 world countries visited Metal-Expo’2011.
Russia accounts for the majority of the visitors: more than 80% of the total amount. The EU, South-East Asia, and North & South Americas account for a considerable number of visitors as well. The majority of international visitors came from such European countries as Germany, Italy, and Austria (the total of 28 European countries). This shows a keen interest of Europeans in the Russian market. Ireland is the only EU state not found on the list. However, professionals from all the CIS and the Baltic states visited Metal-Expo’2011 including: Ukraine, Belorussia, Kazakhstan, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania etc. Representatives from such exotic for Russia countries as Singapore, Thailand, Taiwan, Kuwait, Afghanistan, Mexico Australia etc. visited Metal-Expo’2011 as well.
Due to the Organizer’s efforts the number of exhibitors and visitors of Metal-Expo’2012 will grow.
Metal-Expo’2012: November is on the doorstep
Right after the end of the New Year and Christmas holidays Metal-Expo Management began arranging exposition of Metal-Expo’2012 International Industrial Exhibition. Metal-Expo Management expects more than 700 companies from 35 countries to participate this year. Already in October – December 2011 leading Russian and international steel-making and machine-building companies applied for space in Halls 69 and 75, The All-Russia Exhibition Center where a complex of international exhibitions under the name of Metal-Expo’2012 will be held on November 13-16, 2012. This year the ferrous and non-ferrous expositions will be intensified by three separate expositions including: MetallStroyForum’2012, Exhibition for Steel Products and Structures for Construction, MetallurgMash’2012, Exhibition for Equipment and Technologies for Steel Industry and Metalworking, and a new project MetallTransLogistik’2012, Exhibition for Transportation and Logistics for Mining and Metallurgical Complex. The total of more than 30 000 professionals in the steel-making, machine-building, construction industry, power and engineering complex, transportation and logistics, steel trading etc. are expected to visit the expositions.
MetalTransLogistics to be held during Metal-Expo’2012
On December 23 Russian Steel’s Committee for Transportation supported the idea of holding MetalTransLogistics, an exhibition for transportation and logistics for mining and metallurgical complex within Metal-Expo’2012. The idea had been previously discussed at the meeting of Metal-Expo Organizing Committee on December 7 in Moscow.
For a number of years conferences on development of cooperation between steel producers and railway transportation companies have been held during Metal-Expo. However, mining and metallurgical companies notice the deterioration of cooperation in the recent years: prices are raised, terms of delivery increase etc.
Metal-Expo has become the key business platform where steel producers and suppliers from all over the world meet. 650 companies from 35 world countries participated in Metal-Expo’2011 while 30 thousand professionals and company leaders from various industries visited the event.
For this reason Russian Steel’s Committee for Transportation strongly believes that Metal-Expo may become the platform for development of business and technical cooperation between transportation companies and mining and metallurgical complex whose products including coal account for around 2/3 of all the cargo transportations including railway, sea and river transportations. In the recent years the share of vehicle transportations increases.
MetalTransLogistics along with MetallStroyForum and MetallurgMash will be held during Metal-Expo’2012, 18th International Industrial Exhibition at the All-russia Exhibition Cneter in November.
Another meeting of Metal-Expo Organizing Committee in February 2012 will be focused on arranging of MetalTransLogistics exposition and its program of events.
